UV Protective Fabrics

BTEXCO uses uv-protective fiber to produce permanently anti-uv fabrics. The material is made from polyester polymer by incorporating an inorganic compound. The fabric reflects untra-violet radiation to protect the wearer’s skin.

• As the anti-uv inorganic compound is incorporated in the polyester, the anti-uv effect is long lasting and its wash fastness is better than fabrics treated with agents in the finishing process;
• UPF value can be 50+ for such fabrics. But fabric weight and construction are also important in anti-uv performance. It does not work on mesh fabrics or extremely light fabrics unless high gauge is used in the knitting process.
